The Starkey Collection - Elevator Pitches

Book 1: Starkey the Dragon Princess
Book 2: Starkey and the Wolf
Book 3: Starkey and the Nomads

Book 1: Starkey the Dragon Princess
- Starkey the Dragon Princess is kidnapped by Prince Moyer, an evil Prince of Man, while playing in the woods with her best friend, Moonblaze, the Dragon Court Jester. Princess Starkey must learn to rescue herself to prevent a war between the dragon army coming to free her and the army of good men defending the castle.  She is given encouragement to find her inner strength by a fellow prisoner who, it is revealed at the end to have been the imprisoned King of the Men.  Prince Moyer realizes that he was wrong to seize power through bullying and fear and he has much to learn before he can be a true and just leader.

Book 2: Starkey and the Wolf

- The dragons and men are at peace, but still do not trust one another.  When livestock starts to go missing, there are signs of struggle and animal clawmarks.  The men blame the dragons.  Princess Starkey, Moonblaze and Prince Moyer see a wolf and realize that the wolf has been the culprit.  They chase the wolf, are surprised by a second wolf...his mate.  Eventually, they discover that the wolves have been stealing the food to feed their cubs.  They get the wolf to admit this to the Men to prevent the Men from fighting the Dragons again.

Book 3: Starkey and the Nomads
- The wolf family reveals that they were forced to steal from the humans, because their pack was captured and they are all that remained.  Starkey, Moonblaze, Moyer and Howl, the eldest wolf cub, go on a quest to find the pack, so they will be strong enough to survive in the wild.  They discover that a pack of nomads have been capturing wolves and domesticating them for protection.  The Prince makes an alliance with the Nomads so that they do not need to steal the wolves anymore. Some of the wolves (now dogs) stay with the men, and others choose to return to the wild. With the pack strong enough to survive, they no longer need to prey on the civilized towns and thus, the balance of nature is restored.
